Tech Support Page First off, would the FAQ answer your question? If your question wasn't answered in the FAQ, please email: support at brewdomain dot com with your question. Index Files On very rare occasions (I haven't seen it happen in several years), you might get what is called a "corrupted index file". This sometimes happens while the program is running during power outages, the machine is rebooted or there is a problem with the hard disk. Index files are what allow the program to sort the data and how it is able to present you with alphabetized listings by Recipe or Description. By running the Index Files program, you recreate these files so all is well again. Corrupted Files or "Not a Table/DBF" error Okay, this is a bad one. For the same reasons above, it is theoretically possible to trash your data files. Again, I haven't seen this in years but it is possible. Rather than include a great big utility program to deal with this (especially since it will probably never even come up), I would suggest that if you receive this error message that you send an email to: support at brewdomain dot com and attach the corrupted files. They can be fixed in a jiffy and then sent back to you. |
